We now have the Bulgaria
Summer Mission Trip 2003 prices and dates finalized!!!!
The cost of the trip will be $2,300.00 U.S. dollars.
The trip will start with our departure from New York City's J.F. Kennedy
Airport on Monday August 18th. *
* Don't forget the cost of getting yourself to New York is not included
in the total cost of the trip. **
The course of the trip will take us ALL over Bulgaria
- and then finally, 11 days later, we will depart from Sofia on
Friday August 29th. That gives us 11 miraculous, drunken, glory
filled days to Celebrate Jesus with our Bulgarian and Gypsy brothers
and sisters!!! -- WOO HAW!!
Here are a few of the trip’s details that I've been
able to talk to Georgian about (These plans are tentative, so please
remember to stay flexible as far as our schedule in Bulgaria is
concerned):
• We will be spending 2 days in Kazanluk, as well
as celebrating with another fatted calf feast! (We didn’t discuss
the menu, but I’m figuring it’s the lamb stew again).
• Pastor Mitko of Lom hasn’t decided about whether or not we will
be doing a feast celebration there in Lom with his community.
If we do, it won’t be on such a large scale as Kazanluk, more
like the equivalent of hamburgers and hotdogs, Bulgarian style,
but it would give us a little more time with the sweet Gypsies
of Lom.
• We will spend all day Sunday at the Dobritch church with Mitko
of Dobritch, and either that day, or the following, we will be
ministering to a gypsy community on the outskirts of Dobritch.
That will be a new one for those of us who got to go in 2002.
Georgian also mentioned another day and night at the Black Sea
in Varna.

The following is written by Pastor Richard Brink from
Maine, who joined our 2002 mission trip with 6 of his church memebers:
As a Pastor it was so fulfilling
to see 6 members of my church who had never been overseas,
to be used in healings and salvations and ministry of the
Spirit! God used Lynn to bring a new level of
joy into the Pernik church, and used Donna to shrink a tumor
in Lom, and Paul to heal a woman in bed while we prayed
through the Apartments in Kazanluk.
As A Father I was blessed to see God use my daughter, Amy
in the outdoor concert at Dolbrich. Her song and testimony
truly touched the young people there.
As an individual, I was touched in a huge way. The mystery
of Christ in us became clear again for me. Each day
as we trusted Christ to work through us...He did in a powerful
way. I saw Him take a weak message I had for Pastor
Zhorro's church and bring revelation to them, I saw a song
played on guitar in the gypsy camp at Lom used by Jesus
to draw sinners to him, I felt His heart of compassion open
up in me as I applied the oil of gladness to about 50 aprtment
doors and those inside. I felt the love of Christ reach
out to dozens of children and go into the village in the
dark to pray for those would recieve us.
I saw the eyes of Christ in the eyes of the Gypsy People
and in the eyes of those on our team of 40. I felt the joy
of Christ when we blessed the poor, The gentleness of Christ
in Dessies tears as we left and the courage of Christ when
I hugged someone who has suffered for Him...Pastor Stanislav.
These things noone can take away from me...they not only
had an effect in Bulgaria but will live on in Maine, I am
very thankful for these special 2 weeks and for Georgian
and Winnie...who taught us about Christ in us! The
mystery has been solved and our joy is full!
Blessings of the True Vine
Pastor Rich
