Hello wonderful group,

How are you all? The trip is happening so soon! I’m sure you are excited. My parents are already packing and getting ready to head down to Nicaragua. They will be arriving 3 days early so they can make sure everything is ready for your arrival.

This is a wrap up email for the trip, noting any last minute things I can think of, but there may be more. Look out! J

Emergency Contact Info:

If you miss your flight to Managua, please call either Yana Banova or Mayde Lowery and inform us of your new travel plans.

Yana Banova – 504-251-6633

Mayde Lowery- 804-767-0070

If you miss your flight due to a mechanical/plane problem, your airline is obligated to make new travel arrangements for you.

If you miss your flight due to weather, you are at the mercy of your airline to rebook you.

Let’s pray and agree that weather will be perfect and there will be no delays at all, in Jesus name!

Passports:

We cannot reiterate enough how important your Passport is. It is THE most important thing that you have with you while you travel. Please do not carry your passport in a purse, carry-on, suitcase, fanny-pack or any other kind of bag. Your passport must be carried on your body at all times unless advised differently by a member of Global Celebration Staff.

2 Ways to carry your passport:

In a money belt around your waist

In a pouch around your neck, inside your clothing

Money belts and passport pouches can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Target and luggage stores.

Also, bring an extra photo copy of your passport in your carry-on or suitcase in case your passport is lost or stolen.

Change of Clothes:

It’s a good idea to bring a change of clothes with you in your carry on in case your luggage is delayed or lost on the way down.

Carry-on:

We recommend you bring a back-pack or carry-on in addition to your main suitcase. As you can see from our itinerary we will be leaving Managua twice and staying over night in different cities.  For those two days we will leave our main luggage at the hotel and take only carry-on’s with an overnight change of clothes. If you do not have a back pack or carry-on another option is to bring a small duffel bag folded in your suitcase.

Check Baggage costs

Check with your airline carrier about new baggage checking fees. It could be anywhere from $15-25 per bag…so remember to bring extra money for that. You may be able to pay with a credit or debit card.

Cash

It’s up to you as to how much cash you bring, but remember there will souvenir shopping, as well as opportunities to donate to the pastors. I’d recommend around $200 or more….but whatever you can bring will be sufficient.

That’s all for today. I hope everyone has a wonderful week! I will be in touch again before the trip, either by email or phone.

Bliss,

Yana Banova
